Mahrez
Arsenal are considering making a £40 million offer for Leicester City player Riyad Mahrez, who has of course asked to leave the Foxes this summer.
Having won the Player of the Season when the unfancied club won the Premier League, there’s no doubting Mahrez has been dire this season, and has looked uninterested during the majority of the campaign.
It’s now clear he wanted to leave last summer, yet stayed with the club and is now willing to push through a move – although his stock is nowhere near as high as it was after Leicester’s title winning season.
Wenger splashing cash
That being said, Arsene Wenger is a big fan of the winger, and will offer a large amount of money to land his man.
After agreeing a new two year deal at the club, Wenger has been given in excess of £100 million to spend, and it seems that with Alexis Sanchez looking like joining Bayern Munich, and Ozil eyeing an exit in a year, Mahrez could well be the man he brings in to replace them.
